Virtual Travel

Visual Identity and Graphic Design

Opportunity International Canada

Summary

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator on the Opportunity International Canada team, I was tasked to create a visual identity and design visuals for a virtual travel event. The virtual event focused on the organization’s work and impact in seven countries.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic design

  • Illustration

  • Visual identity for digital and print materials

I designed an invitation for the event as a boarding pass.

Illustrated Maps

I created these illustrations connected to each country visited on the virtual trip.

Colombia

Haiti

The Dominican Republic

Honduras

Nicaragua

India

Ghana

I have further edited and enhanced some of these illustrations since their original use during the event.

Event Guidebook

We mailed a box to each virtual participant of the event to boost active engagement. I designed a guidebook that provided an agenda, fun facts, space for notes, and other information for the event. The box also included branded mugs and luggage tags for which I prepared the logos templates and visuals.

A spread that I designed for the guidebook.

I prepared logo templates and visual elements to print on items in the event gift box such as mugs.

Additional spreads from the guidebook.

Travel Event Video

I helped to design and coordinate the visual elements such as the map, icons, and country illustrations used for animation of the introductions and transitions for the virtual event videos. The videos were produced by Boldfish Video Productions.
